- Be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1)
- Don't be conformed to the world; set your heart on things above (Romans 12:2; Colossians 3:2)
- Think rightly (Philippians 4:8)
- Be sincere in one's loving; Be devoted to others; Do everything in love; Bear with one another in love; Be kind and compassionate; Walk in the way of love; (Romans 12:9,10; 1 Corinthians 16:14; Ephesians 4:2, Ephesians 4:32, Ephesians 5:2)
- Cling to what is good; Hate what is evil (Romans 12:9, 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)
- Be zealous in service to the Lord (Romans 12:11)
