Giving Thanks #2 Christian Children's Music

I grew up listening to Ken Blount's "Kids Chorus" albums. These songs left me with an amazing legacy: an appreciation for praise and an appreciation for Scripture. It is not that every single song was serious and worship-oriented. There were plenty of silly songs. But a surprising number of songs were ALL about desiring God, delighting in God, finding peace and joy IN God, rejoicing in resurrection promises, having a relationship with God. Even the songs that weren't directly inspired by one exact Scripture verse were God-oriented. The Bible encourages--dare, I use the word command?--parents to share their faith with their children. (Deuteronomy 11:18-20) Don't underestimate the power of music; God can and does use music to bless us and our families.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise! Be thankful unto Him, and bless his name! (Psalm 100:4)
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. (Psalm 92:4)
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered... (Psalm 68:1)
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. (Song of Solomon 2:4)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, "Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4)
I will sing unto the Lord, for He hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath He thrown into the sea. The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is mY God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him. (Exodus 15:1-2)
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones. (Proverbs 17:22)
Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in Thy name. (Psalm 63:3-4)
From "All Hail King Jesus"
All hail King Jesus
All hail Emmanuel
King of Kings
Lord of Lords
Bright Morning Star
And throughout eternity
I'll sing Your Praises
And I'll reign with You throughout eternity.
From "He Is Lord"
He is Lord, he is Lord!
He is risen from the dead, and he is Lord!
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Good morning Becky! My husband comes from a long line of family who praise and worship with music. that is their ministry. They are most anointed, you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when they minister. David also used music...
